The S34I project reached another key milestone in its mission to promote sustainable raw material sourcing, as it was prominently featured at the ISPRS Geospatial Week 2025, held from 6–11 April in Dubai.

Ana Cláudia Teodoro, coordinator of S34I and researcher at the Universidade do Porto, presented the project’s work through the poster:
“Earth Observation (EO) for Sustainable Raw Materials Supply.”

Organised by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), this prestigious event is a global platform for innovation in remote sensing and geospatial science. The 2025 edition brought together leading researchers, policymakers, and industry figures to explore solutions for sustainable development, environmental resilience, and the digital transition.

The S34I presentation highlighted how Earth Observation technologies are revolutionising the way we trace, monitor, and secure supply chains for critical raw materials. By providing accurate and timely data, EO is helping to ensure smarter, greener resource management practices across Europe and beyond.

Participation in ISPRS Geospatial Week marks a proud achievement for S34I, underlining its growing impact on international collaboration and its vital contribution to a more sustainable and digitally integrated future.
