EARTH OBSERVATION AS A POWERFUL TOOL FOR MINING

The S34I project has been present at the XV International Congress on Energy and Mineral Resources from 22 to 24 November in León, Spain; by the participation of two of its partners to the event, the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) and the ICAMCyL Foundation.

This event brought together different EU-funded projects and more than 300 experts and companies from the raw materials sector.

The S34I project was presented in a parallel clustering event by Alicia Garcia from ISMC who took the opportunity to explain and highlight the importance of S34I in the EU raw materials sector and in particular for the development of mining through EO.

This clustering event also delved into important issues for the sector in different international round tables, such as geopolitics or the challenges related to the Raw Materials Act.

Undoubtedly, a great opportunity to learn about different European projects focused on the improvement of mining, critical raw materials, digitalisation, circular economy, innovation and sustainability.
