This week, the S34I project is set to make a significant impact at the MMH Mining and Minerals Hall 2024, one of the leading international events for the mining and minerals industry. Taking place in Seville, Spain, MMH brings together key industry professionals, researchers, and policymakers to explore the latest advancements in sustainable mining and mineral exploration.

The S34I project will be prominently featured in the poster session exhibition, with a presentation by Francisco Javier González Sanz from the Instituto Geológico y Minero de España. This session will highlight innovative applications of Earth Observation (EO) technologies for mineral exploration, environmental monitoring, and mine safety.

Additionally, on Wednesday, October 16th, Mercedes Suárez Barrios from the University of Salamanca will deliver an insightful presentation at 4:00 pm in the Innovation Hub Session, showcasing key developments in remote sensing and EO applications for mining.

Furthermore, the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC), a key partner in the S34I project, will actively promote the initiative at its booth in Pavilion 3, engaging with industry stakeholders and fostering collaboration.

The MMH Mining and Minerals Hall 2024 provides a strategic platform for discussing the future of sustainable mining, digital transformation, and resource efficiency, aligning with S34I’s mission to enhance EO-based mineral exploration for a greener and more responsible mining sector.
