Given the importance of raising awareness of the impact that the implementation of Earth observation technologies will have on local communities, Ana Claudia Teodoro from the University of Porto participated in a session of the “Earth Observation for Municipalities” cycle organised by the Portuguese Space Agency and therefore representing the S34I project.
Our coordinator presented S34I project and promoted its mision, towards a more sustainable and secure supply of raw materials for EU industries, and highlighting the services and products that we are developing are valid for all mining phases.
This initiative is the continuation of the session “Copernicus for Smart Cities”, held in Lisbon in May 2023, with the aim of raising awareness of the potential of Earth Observation in the search for solutions and understanding the obstacles, to ensure that all municipalities have access to space technologies.
